Full Time Communication and Information Technology (CIT) Full Stack Develper 
Monday-Friday, Dayshift

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Manager of Communication and Information Technology, the Communication and Information Technology Full Stack Developer leads web development, database administration, software development, and data integration efforts while actively contributing to data analytics initiatives.

Web/Software Development

  •  Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable business applications and software solutions, utilizing both on-premise and cloud-based technologies.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using programming languages such as C#, .Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, etc.
  • Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools to craft dynamic reports and dashboards.
  • Provide technical expertise and assessment of new IT software projects and initiatives.
  • Work as a development team to coordinate application development for software projects.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing software applications, providing technical expertise and support.
  • Research, source software and licensing based on project requirements, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Design, develop, and maintain corporate Intranet, ensuring usability and accessibility.
  • Assist in managing content for the external website.

Database Administration

  •  Administer and maintain databases across live and test environments, optimizing performance and reliability.
  •  Leverage on-premise and cloud-based technologies for enhanced data management capabilities and integration with other Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  •  Develop, and implement maintenance plans for database servers, following industry best practices for data management and security.
  • Design the conceptual framework for planned databases, aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Integrate data from various backend services and databases, maintaining data integrity and consistency.
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery protocols for database servers, ensuring business continuity.
  • Conduct data analysis within databases.
  •  Install, test, and migrate to new versions of the database management system, ensuring seamless transition and compatibility with existing data and applications.

Information Systems Duties

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of GSPS information technology assets.
  • Assist in the development of Special Projects as required.
  • Identify and monitor emerging technologies making recommendations on solutions for consideration.

Qualifications 

  • Community College diploma in an Information Technology Programming related field or equivalent certification.
  • More than five (5) years of previous experience.
  • Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable business applications and software solutions using both on-premises and cloud technologies.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, .Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, etc.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools for dynamic reporting.
  • Ability to provide technical expertise, coordinate project development within teams, and troubleshoot and support existing applications.
  • Knowledgeable in software research, licensing, and managing corporate Intranets.
  • Competence in administering databases across live and test environments, optimizing performance, integrating data, and implementing maintenance plans adhering to industry best practices.
  • Familiarly with disaster recovery protocols, data analysis within databases, and installing, testing, and migrating database management systems.

  •  Bilingualism (English/French).

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to all levels of client groups within the GSPS, orally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve problems.
  • Time management and organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment, coordinate efforts with other team members.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision.

Wage: $37.53 - $44.04 per hour
